In this tutorial we will learn to create interesting background that can be used for a variety of purposes.
Draw a triangle and fill it with a gradient.
On a new layer, draw some geometric shapes using the Pen tool and give a new gradient. Fill each of the items with the Gradient Tool in different directions.
Make a new layer. Using the Line tool draw a line having a stroke value of .5. Make duplicate copies of the line and group all of them.
Pick one set of lines and choose Free Distort. Then follow along.
Apply Transform Effect on another set of lines as shown below. You can do readjustments to the line after clicking OK.
Shift the placement of lines as you like. Add a few stars and then choose the stars and the lines. After that, change the mode of layer to Soft Light. Now we have in hand a background that can be used in various places.
